Jesse, from the content team, is down in Brazil getting to know the music scene and he’ll soon be bringing us video footage of his adventures in South America.

Singer songwriter/ guitarist, Rocco Deluca, stopped by the LP33.tv offices and gave the busy staff a break with a 4 song acoustic set. Rocco Deluca’s new album “Mercy” is due out March 10th and he is getting ready to embark on a national tour to support the album. Cat & Christie get giggly as they give us an update in today’s LP33 news, mainly that we’ve announced our exclusive SXSW webTV Channel - up live now where you’ll find previews, news, vlogs, music videos, a festival Blog and more.

They also update us about some exciting new veteran Music Industry people that have just joined the team, mainly Paula Moore and the man that scouted Madonna, Michael Rosenblatt.

It’s a new year, and the LP33 family is happily joined by Dan Arriaga and Carla Boyadjian, who just happen to be music licensing and artist scout network experts. Jesse, from the content department, introduces them.

Vlad gives us a quick update on why the Helloblog has been so quiet - but it’s more hints that hard information.  Very mysterious indeed ….

Hey all,

It’s been a hectic few months since we first launched in the beginning of October.  The site itself has done incredibly well, and we’re so proud of it!  With that, I bet you’re curious what we’ve been doing since then…(No, we’re not as lazy as we may seem!  We’re just a wee bit slow on updating with all of the great developments!).

1. We’ve been adding tons of content that we’ve been slaving over, just for you!  Some of our favorites here in the office include fiN., Bigelf, Andrea Wasse, The Electric City, and Tom Freund.
2. We’ve added and enhanced many of our features, bringing you bulletins, Instant Messengers, status update capabilities, Media Player functionality additions, playlist features, and more.  The most notable, though, has been the addition and refinement of our store, which is embeddable on social networking sites.
3. We’ve enhanced our Undrgrnd section, and are continuously updating it to give you the best music that’s a little left of center.
4. We’re doing tons of deals with indie labels like Custard Records (Linda Perry) and 4 West, to name a few, and plenty of others that we’ll release when the time comes.
5. We’re watching the numbers of artists and music fans grow on a daily basis.

So as you can see, we’ve been really busy.  Stay tuned as we release more news coming down the pipeline, we’ve got some great stuff coming up (unfortunately, it’s TOP SECRET, but as soon as the “top” comes off the “secret,” we will be the first to let you know).

The day has finally come, October 07, 2008 in a collectedly laid back loft in Santa Monica, California. LP33.tv is here! You can access it any, whether your having a pimms cup in Londontown, catching the sun rays in Bora Bora, or at a cafe along the left bank in Paris. Vlad takes as quick video scoot around the office with his cameraphone as the tech team do the final ‘code push’ from the test site to the real site and the production team finish off the last pieces of video content for launch. The BBQ is being prepped and the champagne is being chilled ahead of the final ’switch on’ in the late evening, ready for our official launch on Wednesday…

… and if you’re wondering why we push the button for a Wednesday launch on Tuesday night - well it’s all timezones. We’re in LA, but it’ll be early Wednesday morning in our 2nd home, London.

So the team have been a bit quiet here, mainly because they’ve been busy making the final preparations to the LP33 website, and busy uploading all the video content we’ve been shooting over the last half year.
